Set in the caverns and catacombs of Kotir Castle, you guide Gillig the fledgling otter as you build your story. Immerse yourself in this fantasy world; overcome fears, explore the unknown, discover new Redwall™ lore, and ultimately triumph over the vermin rat Gloomer in your adventure.
One of a series of six games, The Lost Legends of Redwall: Escape the Gloomer, is created in partnership with Soma Games under license from Penguin Random House™ and the Redwall Abbey company™. The Lost Legends of Redwall: Escape the Gloomer is a 3rd person Conversational Adventure™ game in nine chapters developed by Team Clopas.
As avid fans, we carefully researched Redwall canon from favorite dishes to the structure of musical ditties. We have been careful to add, rather than alter, any existing story lines. Our Narrative Team has crafted a descriptive tale with an engaging story arc, a mix of new and beloved characters, and thrown in a few suspenseful cliffhangers for good measure. Careful attention was paid to write in a style similar to Brian Jacques and the dialect will feel very familiar to Redwall fans.
To make play more interesting, we’ve included extra rewards for those with creative and insightful minds. Try the unusual and unexpected; perhaps you’ll be rewarded by the Badger Lord with one of fifty achievements, over thirty-five of which are hidden. Included within the system are nods to Redwall and Scott Adams fans, pop culture references, and humorous comebacks. Works both within Steam Achievements and on other platforms.
For comfortable reading, there are Next and Previous buttons for pagination and a Resume button for times when the player has navigated back several pages. There are also Pause and Jump Back buttons to control audio narration. The font size and background opacity of the Story Text Panel can be adjusted in the menu system. And five different font colors are used to highlight various contexts like flashbacks or achievements.
As part of creating an immersive experience, we’ve interwoven challenging gameplay with memorable compositions that deliver a distinctive Redwall flair. The audio narration is overlaid with dynamic melodies and short musical ditties. Further enhancements include audio cues and immersive sound effects to engage your ears.

SPOILERS: We want all of our Players to have an enjoyable experience, and that includes the ability to be able to have a spoiler-free experience if they so desire. For certain games, specifically, Lost Legends of Redwall:™ Escape the Gloomer, complete playthroughs could ruin that experience and we respectfully ask that you refrain from making them. That said, we don’t mind play-throughs of the first 4 chapters of Escape the Gloomer.
